From Friday 28 January to 18 March 2011 in International Museum Graphic of the Municipality of Chillán, located on Vegas street corner Saldias O'Higgins develops exposure German Engraving - Artists of Saxony: Dresden, Chemnitz, Leipzig.
This show begins the 2011 program of exhibitions representing centers graphic creation and production of Saxony and is made up of artists: Jürgen Schieferdecker, Hubertus Gieber, Leonore Adler, Reiner Süss, Jurgen Seidel, Michael Morgner, Angela Hampel, Anton Kammerer, Kerstin Quandt, Gudrun Trendafilov, Maja Nagel, Volker Lenkeit, Mattheure Wolfgang, Wolfgang Petrowsky.
As noted Hernando León, director of the Museum of the chart, "these authors are heirs to the postwar generation in Germany that kept the high quality and prestige of the graphics in this country.
The works of the artists included in this exhibition are excellent representatives of this tradition and worthy successors of great personalities of the visual arts that trained or worked in Saxony such as Käthe Kolwitz, Otto Dix, Ludwig Kirchner, Lasar Segall, Oscar Kokoschka, Hans Theo Richter, among others, "thus we witness not only the work of these artists if not review projects developed aesthetic and cultural discourses in Germany in the pre-and post-Berlin Wall fell, which was one of the important events in the history of the twentieth century.
