This activity aims to raise awareness of the working group of contemporary photography that comes from the workshops Artistic Photography Unit of the National Council of Culture and the Regional Council held in the first half of 2008 Concepción. This group have already carried out various activities to date, as a share of the national day of photography with Your picture speaks portrait series video formats transients projected design center, the sample selection for credit on Matucana 100 in Santiago , participation in the international seminar Stgo MNBA photography, Fotoamérica 2008 portfolio reviews, authors' photo exhibition, management and support in the sample exposure Disenchanted Wolfram Hahn at the Art Gallery of the University of Concepción, photographers of the group's publications and other activities.

With the closing of the seminar workshop "Art and critical production, visual artist, teacher and university ARCIS, Rodrigo Ortega and artist Hector Saez visual representation of the School of Visual Arts and Culture and its director Fernando Undurraga made the donation to the artistic director and founder of the Museum of Chillán Chart Hernando Leon, who thanked the donation of the folder recorded "Body absent Figure for a Museum", folder number 31 which contains 54 prints, so also the artists involved: Alfred Pohl, Alfonsina Firpo, Alicia Villarreal, Carolina Vargas, Catherine Gelcich, Guadalupe Alvarez, Guillermo Frommer, Ingrid Vallverdú, Jorge Opazp, Josefina de la Maza, Maria Eugenia Poblete, Mario Soro, Mirna Avila, Virginia Errazuriz and William Thayer.

I. Description
This seminar-workshop that delivers the Artist conceptual and critical analysis to begin developing a personal artistic work from their own experience production work in any of the disciplines of visual arts.
This workshop begins a process that takes the participant in the preparation, from critical thinking, a concrete and visual approach their theoretical basis consistent with current discussions on art and art theory at the global level. The workshop provides a review stage where they are placed on the table the mainstays of production that each artist has personally developed to allow potential tuning speeches that can hold from their productions.
This Seminar-Workshop is theoretical and is aimed at artists who have a production autonomous art in all disciplines related to visual arts.
II. Start

theory and discourse that enable the participant to express deeper ideas and personal criticisms made against his work.

Purpose and operation: simulation; appointment, model, presentation, layout, replicated.
Meaning and Interpretation recurrent Tropos visual work: metaphor, metonymy, synecdoche, visual connotation-denotation;
Types of meaning: univocal, equivocal, analogous polysemous.
Area and field: Full: edge, rim, frame, cut, fragment, indexical signs in relation to surfaces.
The problem of temporality in the image: Instant, repetition, simultaneity, diegesis, story-telling, travel, sequence number.
2. Content in connection with visual work center
problematic definition of the visual work.
Elements for the realization of the final construction project: works, places, types of assemblies, devices, presentation and defense strategies.
Analysis of the material and configuration in relation to the theoretical aspects.
links between components of the work and the artist's discourse. Structure
process model in building work.

3. Development of a text book and delimitation
Search problematic focus of the work.
Study of associated concepts. Discussion of readings. Writing strategies.

IV. Methodology
This Seminar - Workshop presents a working system based on constant criticism and commentary by both teachers and the group, made on the basis of one or several of the participants, defined as states of completion of a larger project . Teachers guide students in a personalized way to the critical discussion of each proposal, trying to establish a consistent link between theory or the conceptual and the formal and technical-instrumental. Therefore, the purpose and scope of assessment in this course is the project and its progress on the workshop discussions, which include work and the process, not the individual works in that context.
The development of each class is set primarily through a lot of discussion of work also supported abundant visual material that illustrates the concepts established in every argument. Visual and audiovisual material presented data show where students can submit their digitized material (Pendrive, disks).

Popular Lira: Lira With popular name in Chile know the printed broadsides that emerged in the late nineteenth and popular poets who published their poems in tenths of a metric old came to America with the Conquest , along with various other literary expressions used by the people, as riddles, proverbs, tales, legends and romances. In each statement, the poet included five or six tenths compositions or generally glossed by a quatrain, in which he commented, from his own perspective, national events and local events that affected him. Mixed well, current affairs, hinting at the human, with facts or biblical characters, they put on stage to the divine, toast, Paya, counterpoints, cuecas and tunes. Each sheet belonged to a single poet, and was led, in general, for coarse popular engravings illustrating the themes, also made by one of them. The poets were selling their sheets advertising them loudly in the streets, markets and railway stations. In Europe it was called "string literature", by the way in which the authors offered leaves hanging on a string or cloth, tied from one tree to another. The popular poets also published small booklets with tenths and romances, as well as cuecas and popular songs at the time. In Chile, the peak time of such popular press was roughly between 1860 and 1920, and his first collection was the German professor and scholar of our culture Rodolfo Lenz, who donated to the National Library about five hundred sheets as part of only three collections that exist in our country. Central Library of the University of Chile has the collection formed by Mr. Raul Amunátegui with approximately 850 sheets and the Library National also preserves the federalism of Avila Alamiro containing 350 sheets. Fortunately, in the last twenty years have recognized the value as a historical source of this type of popular literature.
